Because I've not posted anything in a long time, and because I'm very proud of myself.
Yesterday I had my first ever competition at dressage, and I won. This is me on the horse I chose (he's not mine), and his name is Armando and he loves being watched.
During the warm up he was bitchy, slow and rearing a lot and there was no way I could get him to react to me properly, but I kept trying. I kind of knew he was distracted by the other horses, because he just is.
Then as we stepped into the ring, he gave a really loud whinny and went into show-mode. It was AMAZING, it just clicked and off we went.
First prize wow You have every reason to be proud congrats!

Q: "You and the Enterprise weren't thrown back in time accidentally, were you?"
Spock: "No..."
Q: "Ha! So it has to be that lob-sided dougnut thing."
Spock: "Ah, the Guardian of Forever. Do you know it?"
Q: "Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt."
Hehe, you don't know me very well, I suppose, but with horses - NOTHING ever gets me down. I love 'em too much for that... This guy is actually my favourite despite the rearing. He barely even does it anymore now, cause I know what to do.
Heh - he doesn't do a very good job at it. I've never been particularly impressed by the average horse's antics. I just tell him to quit being silly and then my instructor rofls.
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
Digital Paintings & Drawings | Mixed Media | PhotoManipulations | 3-Dimensional | Vector & Vexels | Photography | Traditional Paintings & Drawings | Artisan Crafts
